Tulum Travel: Getting The Most Out Of Your Stay!

Mexico is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet for a huge number of reasons. It is a nation rich in culture and dripping with historical landmarks. The people are inviting and friendly. The vistas are so stunning you would believe they have been ripped out of a dream. And, above all else, the food is a taste experience you won’t ever forget.

I have gone back to Mexico time and time again. And every time I have found something new and enthralling to make each trip wholly unique and unforgettable. And I want to help you make your own trip as special as all mine have been.

Today we are focusing on Tulum. One of the most stunning municipalities in Mexico. Nestled along the east coast, Tulum is a town of historical significance. Surrounded by shimmering waters, radiant beaches, and full of interesting landmarks to explore. Stick with us as we show you how to get the most out of your stay.

The Mayan Ruins

The ruins in Tulum might not be the most architecturally impressive of the Mayan ruins in Mexico. But they are definitely among the most popular for tourists to visit. It is their location, resting atop a seaside cliff overlooking the ocean, that makes them so impressive. The atmosphere here is second to none.

The ruins aren’t too big either. Making them ideal for a day tour. I highly recommend getting a guided tour. The history of the Mayan people is fascinating. There are so many fantastic tales and interesting tidbits you will learn during one of these tours.

If you want to see a truly iconic Mayan structure then you can book an excursion from Tulum to go see the Chitzen Itza. Being only 93 miles out from Tulum, you can easily make a day of seeing this wonderful work of ancient architecture.

A Luxury Getaway

Tulum is one of the most popular sports for people looking for a luxury Mexican getaway. The rustic, yet modern villas and sprawling beaches make it perfect for planning a group holiday, business retreat, wedding party, or just an intimate occasion with friends.

I recommend finding an online directory of services for your stay in Tulum. These companies will directly connect you with all the right people. Whether you’re looking to hire an ATV, rent a yacht for the week, or just want to organize a romantic dinner on the beach. If you’re planning a special occasion you can even connect with local photographers to help you capture those magic moments forever. Always book ahead of time too. Tulum is extremely popular. So reservations tend to fill up fast.

Tulum Beach Clubs

The beach clubs in Tulum are amongst the best in Mexico. Not only because they are lucky enough to be on some of the best beaches in the nation. But because they have everything needed to ensure your time spent there is memorable.

The food is always unparalleled at these clubs. And you can enjoy your meal against the most picturesque backdrop imaginable. Of course the clubs also have a huge number of sun loungers with a team of staff bringing you your drinks. So you can soak up the sun and be waited on hand and foot like royalty.

Some of the clubs also host amazing night events. Dance classes, live music, disco nights, bonfires, and so much more. You could easily spend a week bouncing between the beach clubs and still have an unforgettable time.

Visit A Cenote

Nature is truly wondrous at times. And cenotes are a perfect example of just how amazing nature can be. These natural sinkholes are created when a mass of limestone drops away revealing a natural deposit of groundwater. The effect is that of a natural swimming pool.

Swimming in a cenote is a truly wondrous experience. Nothing quite compares to being surrounded by beautiful rock formations as the sun breaks through to make the water shimmer. There are a large number of cenotes near Tulum. Each one is drastically different so I highly recommend visiting as many as you can.

Tankah Park

If you’re looking for a more active day out then I highly recommend a visit to Tankah Park. Located just outside of Tulum, it is an eco-adventure park featuring a wide range of activities that utilizes the natural landscape. Ziplining, canoeing, nature treks. Ideal for adventurous travelers or families.

The park connects to a dense jungle and a number of beautiful caves. Allowing you to soak up the beautiful nature Mexico has to offer. It also provides access to a few cenotes as well. So, if you are considering giving them a try, this could be a great place to start. Make sure you bring a good pair of hiking shoes if you’re looking to explore the jungle!
